Dr. Prafulla Kerkar is an eminent Interventional Cardiologist with experience of more than 31 years.
He is the life member of the Cardiological Society of India, Scientific Secretary of Cardiological Society of India, President of the Mumbai Branch of the Cardiological Society of India, and Fellow of the Cardiological Society of India.
He has a special interest in Coronary, valvular & pediatric interventions, closing congenital heart defects like PDA, ASD, VSD.
Dr. Kerkar has undertaken training in the field of Interventional Cardiologist from Red Cross Hospital and Frankfurt Heart Centre, Germany, The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the USA, and Cardiac Arrhythmia Research Laboratory, University of Western Ontario, Canada.
He presented papers in numerous international and national conferences and has several publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Prafulla is proficient in both adult and pediatric interventions, having performed more than 5000 catheterization procedures including coronary angioplasty, mitral, pulmonic and aortic valvuloplasty, closure of ASD, PDA, VSD, fistulas and other shunts.
