Dr. Anoop Misra is an eminent Endocrinologist with over four decades of experience.
His expertise includes diagnosing and treating conditions like diabetes, thyroid diseases, infertility, growth issues, metabolic disorders, osteoporosis, and disorders of the adrenal glands and pituitary glands.
He did his MBBS and MD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 1980 and 1983.
He then moved to the UK and USA to work as a fellow and faculty in various prestigious medical schools and hospitals.
He has been an advisor to the Indian Council of Medical Research, the Ministry of Health, and the Department of Biotechnology on diabetes and other non-communicable diseases.
Prof. Misra has published over 350 scientific papers in National and International journals and books. In 2021, according to an analysis of Stanford University, he is among the top 2% of scientists in diabetes research from India to be ranked globally.
He has been appointed a personal physician to two former Prime Ministers of India.
His current interests include research on nutrition, metabolism, and diabetes about liver fat, pancreatic fat, lean skeletal muscle mass, and vitamin D.
