Dr. T. S. Kler is an eminent Cardiologist with over 48 years of experience.
He has performed more than 35,000 coronary, renal, carotid, and peripheral angioplasties.
His expertise encompasses advanced interventional cardiology techniques, including complex coronary interventions, renal and carotid interventions, and peripheral angioplasties.
He is also highly skilled in cardiac electrophysiology, particularly in RF ablation, cardiac device implantation, and managing complex arrhythmias.
As a pioneer in electrophysiology, he established the first electrophysiology department in India and was the first doctor to implant ICD, CRT-P, and CRT-D devices in India.
In 2015, he also performed HIS Bundle Pacing for the first time in India.
Dr. Kler has played a crucial role in initiating and advancing RF ablation and cardiac device implantation programs across India and neighbouring countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
He completed his MBBS from Government Medical College and Hospital, Patiala, in 1976, an MD in Medicine from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, in 1980, and a DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, in 1983.
He further pursued MRCP from the UK, FRCP from the UK, and FACC from the USA.
He has authored around 150 articles in national and international journals.
Dr. Kler regularly speaks at national and international conferences and has been invited as a Guest Faculty in several countries, including the USA, France, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Singapore, and Pakistan.
He has received numerous awards, including the Padma Bhushan in 2005, D.Sc (Honoris Causa) from Punjab University, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indian Medical Association, among others.
Dr. T. S. Kler is a Life Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, and a Life Member of several prestigious organisations, including the Cardiological Society of India, Indian College of Cardiology, Indian Medical Association, Association of Physicians of India, Delhi Medical Association, and American Society of Pacing & Electrophysiology.
He is also the Founding President of the Heart Rhythm Society of India.
